“Because we heart consent.”
During October 2015 the Men's Hockey Club took part in the 'I Heart Consent' Campaign at the University of Warwick. Involvement took various forms such as running a workshop in conjunction with the UWLHC to educate those attending on the ethical and legal aspects of consent as well as dispelling various myths and rumours (see the event post). The club also undertook a #7DaysOfConsent campaign on various social media channels, the first of which can be found here
The campaign was rounded off with an article from Ralph Haville in the Boar, the university paper:

I felt the need to help educate those who wanted to learn more. I for one certainly would have benefited from these sessions in my first year. As we ploughed through the workshop one thing became strikingly clear. Behind every anecdote, every opinion, and every discussion, there was a common thread: The “lad-culture” stereotype."
