Value win 2-0
Do you ever get déjà vu?
On this fine day for playing hockey, the Value traveled away to Leek in order to try and secure their top spot in MRHA. We arrived in plenty of time, warmed up well and started the game the better of the two sides. The game went on, with chances falling to the value but a certain ginger haired farm animal failing to convert all of them meant none of the pressure was being used and they were free to clear the ball up the pitch at every 16 opportunity. Fortunately this changed at around the 15 minute mark, where a storming run forward resulted in a slapped goal from the top of the D from Harry Hudson. Despite this goal, nothing really changed and we entered into half time 1-0 to the good.
After a relatively stern team talk Warwick started stronger again, neutralizing their two skillful people in the middle of the park and the one up top with relative ease. Still piling forwards, another goal was scored this time by Charlie Brew with a back post tap in. Being 2-0 up with 15 minutes to go, the value were free to sit on their lead and just soak up the pressure until the final whistle blew leaving the value top and ready for the next game. MOTM went to Harry for his tireless running and distribution.
